Combinations
The following combinations are used by our academy to enhance timing, balance, flow and rapid fire. We practice these techniques on the Thai pads and also free-style to gauge correct distance and execution.
In addition to practice, these combinations are used as an assessment in our grading syllabus.
It is important to develop a natural feel and flow to your combinations and to add speed and power once you are confident in their delivery.
Multiples of combinations can be added together, so practice mixing several up and see what results you get.

ORTHODOX (Left hand lead)

1. Left jab, right cross, right round kick.
2. Left jab, right cross, left round kick.
3. Left jab, right cross, left hook, right cross.
4. Left round kick, right cross, left hook, right round kick.
4. Left round kick, right cross, left hook, right round kick.
5. Left body punch, left uppercut, right cross, left hook (Tyson).
6. Right body punch, right uppercut, left hook, right cross, (Tyson).
7. Right uppercut, left hook, right round kick.
8. Right cross, left hook to body, right round kick.
9. Right knee, left hook, right cross.
10. Right grab knee, left hold knee.
11. Left front kick (Teep), right cross, left hook, right cross.
12. Jab, right spin back fist, right cross.
13. Jab, right overhand punch (cobra), left hook.

14. Left round kick, double right stepping knee.
15. Right round kick, double right stepping knee.
16. Jab, left side elbow.
17. Fake left roundhouse, right step hook, 2 x left hook/cross, follows with a right hook/cross.
18. Jab, right cross, right side elbow.
19. Right front kick, jumping right cobra.
20. Left round kick, right spin back kick (crocodile tail).
21. Left jab, right jumping elbow.
22. Left jab, right spin back elbow.
